So I got a text from Krazy Ed Friday Morning about 12 AM to be at house at 10Am.
I was in Bed with the Wifee' laying next to me.
Quick diagnosis & repair on a 1965 Chevy Biscaynne with a 2001 Corvette LS1 engine & 4L60E trans.
A/C blowing hot & owner going back to Arizona Saturday Morning.
Must get done at all costs. Driving the Biscaynne home non stop.
Since I am the instant diagnosis guy & Ed needs my Snap On A/C guages & me.
Told be done in 1 hour.
Thinking yeah right.
Take all day & into night.
I was right.
These custom cars make their way around to all shops.
Half assed up by bad mechanics.
Never any wiring diagrams to work with.
You need a photographic memory like I have, recall instant if you can.
Wiring screwed up behind the dash.
Dash had to come apart.
I had to wire in a relay for the Twin Derale electric fans to come on with the A/C compressor clutch.
Used a Ford 70 Amp Relay.
Head pressure dropped down to 125-150 lbs instead of 350-400 lbs.
Repaired TIG welded the aluminum radiator & fabricated new mounting tabs & brackests, Eds job there.
Fix drivers side power window. Bad relays found & replaced.
Finished & back home at 1 AM this morning.
