Callies Compstar vs Scat or Eagle

what are you fella's thoughts on the differances between these cranks .
From your List,

Callies Compstar is #1.

Scat is #2.

Eagle is #3.

At least in the Pontiac V8 world the factory crankshaft has been proven stronger than Eagle.
Eagle cranks bend at 800 Hp where the stock crank does not.
But Eagle put budget stroker engines on the Map for Chevy & Pontiac guys 25-30 years back now. Always made in China.

Id say the above order is about correct, but from what Ive seen eagle is not all that close to SCAT quality

I am exploring the idea of opening my 383 sbc to a 396 with a 3.875 stroke with a callies crank assembly. I have a friend who works for Katech Performance and he is going to qualify my block and if it passes, they will be doing my machine work. I never knew Callies made a entry level crank per say. I just learned about it last week. I was shocked to see the Compstar was an offshore crank.

Callies have been popular with the Racer LS3 guys in the Vette world past chasing after 9-second 1/4 mile ET. Power adder of 300-600 Hp more used on top of baseline Hp.

Most street engines in the real world will end up actually 400-500 HP when all said & done.
Better builds will be 600 HP or more.

Depending upon power desired you may want to look at Billet cranks.
Need $5k +.
Just for the crank.
Crower Billet I want someday.

Forged Ok for near all on the street and not drag racing to win.

The difference between USA & China made costs is 3 to 10 times more.
