"Hello,grumpyvette,?
Need a little input for a 496 BBC hydraulic flat tappet camshaft. 4.31 bore,4.25 stroke,18cc SRP small domes,Brodix 270cc oval racerites with CNC chamber option, decks cut for a true 10:1 CR,Edelbrock performer rpm.

'72 Chevelle 3.31 gears,TH400 with mild 2600 stall. Street car only, focus is on good street manners with mega torque.

Hydraulic roller would probably better compliment the heads but spent the money on heads and rotating assembly

I was thinking about a comp 286H or Isky 280 mega with a 110 lsa, something in the 236º duration at .050 range and .550 lift.

What do you think "

this is what Id go with, it will work great with your rear gear, compression and that 2600rpm stall with that displacement and give you a slight lope and nice drive-ability and power
