Bowtie overdrives sells tubular cross members. I had them send mine w/o the perch welded on so I can position the tranny where I want. I would order one for an 82 with a 200-4R, that should get you in the ballpark.
It was only like $150
just be sure the hole for the exhaust pass thru are a MINIMUM of 3.5" if you want a 3" free flow exhaust in your car and the cross member is structurally sound, and BTW they only need to cover 180 degrees to make easier, and a tubular design will be lighter in weight
