Detroit locker? And can i use it?

I have a 69 galaxie 500 XL 390 that came with a 9 inch diff. Its a one legger with highway gears. Just aquired what i was told is a Detroit locker with 3.70 gears. Can anyone tell me by looking if if is a Detroit locker? And will it zwap into my housing? There both 31 spline
