This was $34,345 start to finish. Footings, 6” slab with 4,000 psi concrete. By this area’s top garage builder only - Updike Builders. In 2011/12

yeah, looking back, all of us wish we had grabbed a few bargains when the opportunity was available,
and prices were significantly lower or something was available that no longer is!
i would have purchased a case of g3 rifles when they were $300 each back in the 1970s vs the current $2700
Id have purchased a 1970 hemi cuda at less than $5K and a 427 AC cobra for $8K
but I did not have the cash then, but Id darn sure have had different priorities if ID known what they would eventually sell for

Everything you see right now will never be cheaper. My motto anymore, “Buy, Buy and Buy some more!”

Rich, did you ever buy that front end loader ?
Yes and no. I wound up changing what I originally ordered and bought a bigger, better one from the same franchise. This one just got here a week ago. Some photos taken as it was delivered and I will take a few more soon.
I have to deal with supplier shortages, backhoe is not in yet, neither are any of the hydraulic functions and many attachments.

I like this pre-built but in the 8 months since I first spotted a model sitting on the sales lot the price went from $28,000 to $45,000.

WOW ! Thats a nice JD.Congrats,Does it require DEF ?I know about price increases, I just had my house reroofed last month. The price of shingles almost tripled !

No DEF. And the the DPF Regen problems that everyone has been afraid of have been gone for more than several years. Many people say “Oh, stay away for the pollution smog devices that are on diesel engines above 26 hp!” That’s long gone now.
The 4R is the start of the big 4 cylinder engines that are very hight torque at low rpm.

Got my SpeeCo Quick Attach for the rear 3 point hitch today. They don’t use bushings like all the others so that saves money and time. The 4 series is the only tractor with remote control moving the tractor forward and reverse without ever jumping in and out of the operator’s seat. I can also raise and lower the arms of the 3 point hitch by control buttons on the rear fender. So nice not to have to struggle lining up some heavy equipment and the pinned slide adjustable lower arms!

A stump buster loader bucket is next, should be here in another week. With this I can pluck out small trees, large bushes, boulders. I can dig trenches almost a foot deep forever. Tree stumps - this bucket has saw tooth edging that can cut through large stumps and chop roots completely. GTW makes their own, great price and with my set of pallet forks I can pull it off the truck when it comes.

I’m waiting on my Lane Shark too. I would imagine it’s getting here within the next couple weeks however I still don’t have the front 3rd function hydraulics installed - so it’s basically worthless if I got it this weekend. Watch for 2 videos.

Has anyone had a lot cleared lately? Rented a stump grinder? Hired a landscape contractor? They are well out of hand, lawyer isn’t that expensive! and at least I can get an appointment and he’ll be there!

Here’s a fun fact, did you all know that most all Bobcats, John Deere, all value brand tractors, skidsteers and Case (and many more including Kubota have universal keys?
I was talking to an equipment delivery service driver this week and he proved it to me. The JD dealer parts counter also confirmed this.
Then I thought back when I was out with my friend last year when I needed to borrow his trailer. We went to his construction site but when I said “Crap! it’s completely blocked in by a half dozen machines”, he said I’ll move stuff relax!
He moved around all but one of the subcontractors machines - different machines, different contractors. I didn’t think about it until tonight after we went to dinner I asked him about this. He said didn’t you remember when we went to that construction equipment auction years ago? I started up all those trucks for you with my key? Well?
This blows me away!! So I just ordered a keypad lockout for the door and ignition tonight. My wife says, but you have Lost by theft insurance coverage - why’d you spend good money on that stuff? . . . .OMG!

I put the beacon lights on, changed all the lights to high intensity LEDs and the rear work lights installed. I have a set of lights coming that flood the 3 point hitch area, the work lights I just installed cast shadows on the equipment. When the backhoe installed I’ll get another flooding the boom area.
