Fastener Storage Idea

It's never fun to stop what you are doing to run to the local hardware store to find a fastener that you need. I had been looking at the hang-able storage bins for a couple of months and this is what I decided on.

I got the clear storage bins:

At Graingers I bought the dividers, but I don't like how loose they fit, they tend to pop out while your getting something out of the bin. Probably hot glue them in place once I satisfied with the arrangement.

I bought this at Lowes to build the organizer for the bins:
2 - Aluminum angles $4.88 each for 1/16" x 1/2" x 8'
3 - 1" x 3" x 8' Furring Strips for $1.62 each
1 - 1/2" x 2' x 4' Plywood
100 - #6 x 3/4" Sheet Metal Screws
100 - #10 x 1" Sheet Metal Screws

The bins easily slide along the rail for easy reordering when needed.

I bought a bunch of fasteners from Alex Schubow at:

He shipped everything I bought in a Medium Flat Rate box for $12

I think he buys from companies that are closing and then sells them at about 1/3 the cost of places like "Bolt Depot".

Thanks!
I had to chuckle at the size of that bucket, I don't know how you would find anything at the bottom! Unless of course you just dump it on the floor until your done looking. :)
