When you take the average 2 G or 2 Jet Rochester carbs that was in just about every non-Quadrajet GM car and truck from the mid 1960s until about the early 1980s they recommend the general float measurements at 1/2” to 9/16” from the horn to the center of the float seam Or, I say “OR” you can take the measurement average of 1 1/2” to 2 1/4” from the horn to the bottom of the float. Here’s the important part, Ready?
Are these measurements taken with the top of the carb off and inverted, whereby the float is flopped down and you take those measurements?
