getting the hood and fenders aligned related info

due to age, wear, or accidents over the years its not at all un-common for older cars to have body mounts or shims get damaged or lost or just disintegrate, so if you find that the door to fender or hood to fender gaps or hood to engine clearance or door to frame gaps have changed theres a good chance its related to body mounts, shims or worn door hinges or previous damage, bad repairs etc. now take the time to carefully inspect and repair them if the car seems to have problems of that type because ignoring it long enough tend to result in minor damage, increased wear or even cracked glass, and random squeaks and groans from the body
