I have a 454 that I am interested in putting a GM Performance intake part# 12363406 on. The only information that I can find and trust is the info that is in the GM Performance catalog. But that information is vague at best. It tells what it fits, kind of bolts needed, and what not. But it doesn't say anything about the RPM range it is intended for.
I have looked around on the internet and found a couple of different answers to the RPM range. One said it is for idle to 5500. Another said 1500 to 6500. I have also read that it is made by Edelbrock and is a rebadged performer RPM. Which it does look a lot like one.
Has anyone here used one or seen one and able to tell me for sure what the specs. are? Is it imported?

I don,t have any factory documentation, expressly related to that particular intake part number, other than

Same as manifold P/N 12363420 (see above), but designed for use with a Holley carburetor. Dual-plane design requires bolt kit P/N 12367959, which includes 16 bolts (8740 chrome-moly 3/8-16 x 1.5" with 3/8" hex head and 16 5/8" O.D. washers), and manifold gasket kit P/N 12366985. Accepts air conditioning and alternator brackets and a late-model water neck. NOTE: Will not fit production Corvettes, and may not fit Chevelles. due to its Manifold carb flange height is 4.450".

and I'd point out obviously factors like engine compression, cam timing displacement, exhaust scavenging efficiency, exactly what cylinder heads and valves and a myriad of similar factors effect the results but its almost certain that MIKEB gave you good info there, and your looking at an intake manifold with very similar flow characteristics to the edelbrock rpm and it will work very well up to about 5500 rpm-6000 rpm where it starts to flow less effectively than several of the more common oval port big block single plane intake manifolds.
I HAVE USED VERY SIMILAR INTAKE MANIFOLDS ON BOTH 454 AND 496 OVAL PORT CYLINDER HEAD BIG BLOCK ENGINES IN THE PAST AND HAD GOOD RESULTS, WHEN USED WITH FAIRLY HIGH COMPRESSION ( 10.5 :1-11.5:1 ) AND CAMS LIKE THE ORIGINAL l88 CAM IN FAIRLY LIGHT CARS LIKE CAMAROS AND NOVAS WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS AND 3.73:1-4.11:1 REAR GEARS, OPEN HEADERS AND A DECENT 850 CFM HOLLEY CARB, AND A 35 LN BILLET FLYWHEEL,THIS RESULTS IN AN over camed ENGINE BUT IT STILL HAS IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE, AND VERY OLD SCHOOL RUMPITY RUMP IDLE SOUND
