heads have marks from gaskets

I was cleaning the heads cause my parts should start to show up any day now I noticed that my aluminum heads have marks in them from the gaskets (about .016 circle) is this a problem do they need to be resurfaced?

it depends on how deep the depressed circular mark is into the heads surface, but in most cases its only a cosmetic blemish not a functional problem.
can you post clear pictures?

I took a few pics these show it the best

that is referred to as brinelling the aluminum head,it probably will not cause a problem , can you possibly measure the depth of the groove? it appears to be basically cosmetic, but a local machine shop could look at it and tell you , (keep in mind they may tell you to surface the head just to make a few bucks knowing the grooves mostly cosmetic but also knowing they are dealing with a "judgment call" and will be able to say with some justification, (WHEN IN DOUBT RESURFACE)

I dont have a way to measure the depth of the groove, but I ran my finger nail over the groove and then placed then .0015 feeler on the head an ran my nail across that to compare and the mark in the head is definitely less (sorry being my first time didnt know how else to check)
