I had somebody look at the photos and they identified it as a military helicopter, a UH-1 Huey. The closest base to us is in Lakehurst Fort Dix/McQuire joint air base 90 miles south east, but police departments are known to buy/own military surplus. I’m really close to the Delaware River and Lake Nockamixin or Lake Towhee. There was an Amber Alert broadcast about the time the copter was overhead and this is about the time the bikers are making their pilgrimage to their annual “Hill Climb.”
Years ago the State police would section off grids of the topography using infrared to detect pot growth in the remote hideaway spots near cornfields, woods or anywhere really. I don’t think they do that anymore due to budget issues and legal BS.
If anything I would believe someone has their eye on my goofy neighbor across and down the street. He likes to tell people he‘s a Fed in security somehow. He was an electrician years ago in business for himself, but for years he just comes and gos ridding by my place all day and night always picking up his ragged, out dated election sign he points facing my house. I seriously doubt he is any kind of Fed, although I wouldn’t put it past him if he was in DC on 01/06 doing something he shouldn’t.
He has his property posted for his gun range and every morning 7 days a week starting at 9 am until 1:30 pm. They neighbors just shake their heads, he doesn’t bother me any, my wife and kids on the other hand. Now the clown that is around the block but his property line touches ours in the rear corner, he is annoying every weekend with his non-stop shooting. He has a cannon and the last shots each Sunday end with that dam cannon. I don’t know how these guys can afford all that? One of my neighbors (he knows everybody and everything that goes on) tells me that guy has relatIves that visit this guy and they bring all their noise makers with them including the powder for the cannon.
