Well, I've lurked a couple of vette forums since even before I bought my car three years ago. I noticed Grumpy's posts and all his experience with these cars and found his site with it's essays and dyno results and decided to register to pick brains about a set of heads and a cam.
I used to work in a couple of body shops back in college. One shop was my uncle's. He had a 83 Cutlass with a 455 and 3.73s. Back then (late 90s, early 2000s), it was really a machine to contend with when most of my friends had Fbodies or Mustangs. Not so much today. But anyway...we always had some project going on and some that never got done (including an 86 442 I was building, also with a 455). I like a couple of hours north now, and don't really have a lot of car friends here. Hadn't messed around with anything since 05 or so and picked up my car in 2012.
