Some of you already know me and are happy to see me, then there's the others! My Vette is a 1990 with 34,000. Still smells new on the inside. Always kept in a garage.

About 1.5 years ago I decided I needed more power and built the motor from the anemic 250HP stock to a standard combo of cam, intake, heads, long tube headers to about 400HP or so.

Well, I needed to change the injectors so when I did I dropped the distributor screw down the hole and it got caught up on a piston. As a result I had to rebuild the new motor. So as I weighed what do to, I decided to go with a 400 block and stroke it to 427. Why 427 you ask, well, it's just a really cool number is all. It has its place in Corvette history, and today with the Z06.

I decided on letting Pat Musi build the motor this time. He's well known and his motors hold some pretty stout world records. I have no idea what power it's putting down, but on paper we figure about 550-575HP. It's fun to drive except for the face that the tires will break loose at almost any speed, including 70MPH.

I plan a rear end upgrade this spring, and bigger brakes by next fall. Then I'm done except for cosmetics, which will be a multi year project.

welcome aboard,
please post details, detailed parts lists,
and pictures if you can.
a few brief impressions of driving the car and dyno info or time slips if youve got them, AND we just KNOW youve got them after spending the effort on the cars upgraded components

Pictures later.

lets hope so! just because your on one forum dosen,t mean you can,t go to others,
I participate on about 9 forums and I got tired of the B.S. and politics on some, the clicks the , restrictions and the guys that try to down the newbies, so after a couple dozen guys suggested I start my own forum and two forums changed there formats and lost HUNDEREDs if not thousands of bits of posted info I decided they were correct...
the more guys here the more valid info, and the less B.S.

hear hear

You forgot about the mods on some forums playing god.

BTW I will have a nice update coming soon. I am turning my car into a more comfortable and cleaner driver. I will post some details and pics for your BBC swap thread when complete

Hey Jsup! Your name looks familiar.

I hate Edelbrock, but that 555 they're offering looks pretty awesome.
I just checked out the PMP page, is that 427 #1 Prototype YOUR 427? It says it was just installed in a '90 Vette.
