Welcome Seb! Your the second French speaking guy to join the forum in the past week and another person is fluent in French. Doesn't look like you will need much help, your first message was very readable.

Nice car, looks very well taken care of, how long have you owned the Vette??? Like the color, but then Red is my favorite color as you can see from the pic below. :lol: It hasn't been driven in over ten years now so it's a little dirty, but next spring that's going to change.

Just curious, how much is petrol over there, it's going for $2.59/gal (87 octane) here.

thank you for answers.

I own the car for one and half a week (I bougth it the 10/09/2010). I sold my old 85 corvette last mounth to buy a trans am but came back to a vette for the handling. :roll:

gas price is approximatly:

_ €1.45/L ==> $7.63/gal (98 octane)
_ €1.40/L ==> $7.37/gal (95 octane)

it was more expensive last year. :evil:

your rod might be very fun to drive ! :shock:

P.S: to complete my profil: I'm 23, I got a technician motorist diploma and now I am studying in an engineering school (general machanism specialities).

Your still in the honeymoon stage with this Vette then

Wow, I don't know how you can afford to drive at those prices. You must have a different octane rating there, I believe its called RON. We use [R+M]/2, wish means RON number plus MON number, divided by 2.

Yes and I plan on refreshing that feeling next spring!

Well your just a young whippersnapper at 23. ;) Hang in there, that engineering school can be rough, but when you get thru it you'll happy you stayed the course.

well, I not very old but I never seen the gas as cheap as you get it ! :?

then, RON (research octane number) is 95 and 98 while MON (Motor octane number) is 85 and 87. Here you can find the same octane as your and the 85 (less expensive) for low compression ratio engine.
