Hi guys,
I've been on Chevytalk lately and found myself on the performance section more and more trying to learn the real details that make a banger engine really humm so figured I'd log on here and get a bit more involved.
At 39 I've had a reasonable amount of experience building engines, I think around 40-50 V8's ranging from a couple of clevlands and SBC's to 600 hp BBC's.
For 15 years I ran a drag car running a 468 into the 9's and dabbled breifly with a SBC ski racing boat making around 500-550 hp.
With a young family the drag car made way for a 57 chev that is basicly a cruiser( it's fun when we're all in it, but sheeze is it boring compared to racing ;) ) .
I'm currrently peicing a 383 together for the 57 using everything new I've learned
Cheers, Jimmy

I'm approaching 52 and have built two SBC engines and ported two sets of heads................. one drastically so.
................ you are obviously one sick puppy.
I wish I had even 1/10th of your experience. Welcome aboard Jimmy.
