Hi guys,
I've been on Chevytalk lately and found myself on the performance section more and more trying to learn the real details that make a banger engine really humm so figured I'd log on here and get a bit more involved.
At 39 I've had a reasonable amount of experience building engines, I think around 40-50 V8's ranging from a couple of clevlands and SBC's to 600 hp BBC's.
For 15 years I ran a drag car running a 468 into the 9's and dabbled breifly with a SBC ski racing boat making around 500-550 hp.
With a young family the drag car made way for a 57 chev that is basicly a cruiser( it's fun when we're all in it, but sheeze is it boring compared to racing ) .
I'm currrently peicing a 383 together for the 57 using everything new I've learned
Cheers, Jimmy
