Id strongly advise buying a few books on rebuilding and trouble shooting a HOLLEY CARB,, and reading links and sub links will help a great deal

I don't think most of this stuff has anything to do with the issue but it ran fine until I did these things so I'm including them. In a nutshell the carb is flooding. It's a Holley 4160 (600)......
Started it up and it ran rough and I could tell I was still getting too much gas. SO I put another switch inline on the pump so I could shut off the pump with the car running ... smoothed right out and would run fine until it was about out of gas.. hit the switch and it would pick back up and would not take long before it was flooding again. Turn off the pump smooths right out.

SO my question ... can I adjust this out with the air/fuel adjustments or do I need to start with the floats. I did take the sight screws out while it was not running and gas did not come gushing out. It appeared to be right at the bottom of the hole as it should be.I read the car should be running but I do not have time before it shuts down to do that test.

I'm a novice at best and I am very tempted just to buy a new carb!

Thanks in advance!

THE O-RING ON THE NEEDLE AND SEAT, AND THE DIAPHRAGM IN THE ACCELERATOR PUMP, CAN BE DAMAGED BY ETHANOL IN FUEL UNLESS AN ETHANOL COMPATIBLE MATERIAL IS USED
