theres few things more intimidating that your first Holley carb rebuild, but once you've done a few Holley rebuilds, youll find out the process is both easy and logical so you'll wonder why you were ever intimidated at all!
youll need a few basic screw drivers and wrenches and having a 6 quart stainless steel pot and a gallon of carb cleaner, a couple cans of carb cleaner spray with the straws, and a few books won,t hurt a bit either, read the books first, but if you buy a rebuild kit and follow the directions almost any adult can easily rebuild a Holley and get it to function properly

heres a few links that might help
obviously what your willing to spend, the size limitations and how often you need to carefully clean parts,
has a huge effect on what ultra sonic cleaner your likely to want,
or can afford
most larger shops have a parts cleaner

your generally going to find that a power valve thats marked at about 1/2 the vacuum at idle is a good starting place IE, if your pulling 17" of vacuum the 8.5 power valves about correct,if your pulling 11" of vacuum the 5.5 power valves about correct
