I bought it for my Daddy for Christmas one year when I was around 20 years old. Well it’s a great tool, but it weighs a ton and it is a handful to carry around. Well, recently I bought a new cart for my falling apart hand torch cart. The frame was bending carrying all the weight of the bottles, so I cut it apart and kept the wheels and shaft. With material from our scrap bins at work I worked all afternoon yesterday and built a roll around cart for the battery charger. Here’s are pictures of my new roll around battery charger!

I raised it up 30 inches and with the wheels it’s about 36 inches off the ground now, and rolls around easily also!

its always nice to see innovative thinking and custom fabricated tools,
Id suggest you spray it with paint of your choice to reduce the potential for rust,
but theres zero doubt the concept of making the battery charger easier to move will be helpful.

thinking about what you want too accomplish allows you to re-purpose
or modify existing products
example I found a hand truck at a yard sale for $20,
that I modified to move two acetylene welding tanks around the shop easily,

which beats the hell out of the asking price of a commercial tank cart that is frequently over $300

I have wanted to do it for sometime, then the bottle racks went on sale at a local welding supply. I cut up the old one and just thought keeping the wheels and shaft could come in handy. I was carrying that heavy charger over to a neighbors car the other day and thought to myself, “man, I could sure use a cart to roll this around!”Well I carried it back to my shop and the wheels were on the floor as if looking at me, “ Here I am dummy, make me useful!”
Hell, I forgot the wheels even have a grease zert for lubrication.

Hey Grumpy, be better to get him one of those hard hats with bottle holder with straws going to his mouth. He’d be able to work and drink beer at the same time!

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Got a couple coats of flat black on my charger cart! I must say, it looks better with color on it!

I use to have one that was Dallas Cowboy football helmet, had a little squeeze bulb when I wanted a swig! I usually put 2-16 ounce beers in it.
