I was asked an interesting question yesterday, a guy I BUILT AN ENGINE FOR SEVERAL YEARS AGO,stopped BY AND LOOKED AROUND THE SHOP AND NOTICED I SEEM IN HIS WORDS "TO BE ADDICTED TO BUYING TOOLS" he asked me, "if you had $400 to spend on engine tools" and you already had an engine crane, engine stands, assorted mics, and calipers, drill press etc. what type of engine building tools would you buy if you were given $400 on condition it was spent on at least one or two decent engine building tools?
(yes I know we all have a different assortment of tool needs but I thought this might be interesting??)
now its been 3 years since I had that option , due to supporting my older sons family and other issues, so I started day dreaming....what would you buy and why?

and no hes very unlikely to hand over a dime, but I get the feeling he may want his engine rebuilt with new bearings and rings as he runs the crap out of the car and hes put 60K on it since we installed it about 5 years ago

I want more ratchet speed wrenches myself Grumpy.
Getting lazy in my 40's.

Found the old rope trick removing valve keeper locks & retainers & valvesprings.
May use the trick to replace Valvestem seals on my Suburban before winter hits here again.
No air compressor required .
