but I personally have a good deal more confidence in a properly and personally built
496-572 BBC engine than in ANY Pontiac engine, I've either seen anyone else build, or have personally built.
and I've built both engine designs to have impressive performance levels, but the main factor is parts cost and ease of finding what you need,
there's certainly not a thing wrong with either engine design,
that can,t be easily corrected with available aftermarket components.
but even die hard Pontiac supporters will be forced to admit there's a whole lot more choices for the components you might want to use in BBC engine, parts.
