In about a week now I’ll see my new tractor! Ahh, but there is a twist. I never quite felt happy with my order. At first I was told the
it was going to ship mid July, then it was August 22nd. A few weeks ago I got an email saying it would be built mid July and ship after. In the meantime I learned so much I didn’t want it. I wanted to step up to a 4 series so I had to ask if one was instock anywhere and there was one 20 miles from me. They just have to ship it to their store closest to me and assemble it. There is a supply shortage for all hydraulics so I have to pay for it and bring it back as stuff comes in. You wouldn’t believe the final cost!

The stork is bringing me my new baby on the 21st! It’s gonna be a really big stork too.
It’s a shame that I couldn’t drive it down Main Street for the 4th of July Parade! Hey, there’s Labor Day right?
Well It’s gonna have to be Kraft Mac and cheese, Spaghetti O’s and Pot pies (forget hotdogs, they got too expensive) for 6 years while I figure ways to pay for this. I can‘t even transport it to source out myself and the machine for some cash - you can’t buy any trailers, there is a supply shortage with them as well. The cheap crappy lightweight trailers rated 3,000 lbs or less had but they are the flimsy kind the tool rental places wont touch!

Yes, I bought a 4044R Loader with Cab station - AC & Heat of course its a true 4X4 with a differential lock, auto 3 speed HST.
If you remember I was first going after a Kioti CK10 with a cab because it was a large frame compact with center belly mower capable and forward capable pto for a snow blower or whatever. when nothing could be had and 6 to 8 month waiting was never a guarantee even then - I went with JD and the 3 series had the same options. When I learned it wont be so easy to cut my lawn in a big heavy tractor and a snow blower was nearly $12,000 I began to wonder.
The 4 series is a big boy machine with nearly 40% more lift at the loader, it dosent have the ability to have a belly mower but it has much more PTO power And higher lift as I needed something that could be used in construction too.
The 4 series has the remote controls that let you operate the tractor standing by the rear for easy hookup to the 3 point hitch Without having to jump back and fourth in and out of the cab.
The 44 hp is a larger displacement and now its the start of the 4 cylinder with out a turbo. The turbos add lots of heat and are more maintenance, after the warranty runs out the turbo can be costly.

For implements I got the Backhoe, 6’ Frontier HD Flail brush and tree eater, Titian 7’ Tiller, a Woods 7’ rotary brush hog.

Accessories: 6’ Grapple w/ 2 stage top clamps, 7‘ hydraulic snow blade, snow pusher box, post hole digger w/ down presser tank and 2 augers, heavy duty front loader bucket, SpeeCo quick connect hitch, 50 gallon pto powered sprayer, spreader for salt, fertilizer, lime and weed/feed.
Air suspension seat,
Extreme duty winch with wireless remote
48” heavy duty pallet forks
Rim Guard liquid tire fill for balast
Balast box with garden tool caddy’s
Deluxe Grill Guards
3rd function forward
power beyound hydraulics
4th and 5th funtions
Top and Tilt
GoodyearTitain Hybrid R12 AG tires (these babies are 5’ tall!)
and lots of working lights, beacon light, chain box, tool box, chainsaw holster
Blue tooth/WiFi

do you have the room in the garage and a door tall and wide enough to allow you to park it out of the weather?
the reason Id ask is one of the guys that lived near me in Florida just before I moved to Texas,
failed to think about that little fact and found his new $45K toy was about 3" too tall to fit in the pole barn door..
boy he was pissed, when he damaged the front tractor roof the first time,
he tried unsuccessfully to park his new pride and joy, in the barn

I bought the optional Beacon light that mounts on a short post, that will hit the header on the 9 ft. Barn door opening. I’ll have to come up with some fix for that.
Yes, as a matter of fact when I ordered the 3 series tractor it had plenty of room, this tractor is big. In fact its the largest compact tractor before they are considered as Utility Tractors - I just barely squeeze through with this one.
My bigger problem is storage, I will have 6 implements and attachments that will sit on oak plank pallets. Steel is so expensive these days, I have to design a block pier and wood truss storage that will allow for 3 spaces high and 3 across in the new building. For the time being I’ll just have to get lots of covers. Just 10 long days left!

It was such a good move up to the 4 series. The other one had a loader lift of 1250 lbs., this one is 2500 lbs.
The bucket will extend up to 98” from the ground to the bottom of the bucket. The machine is 30” longer and 73” outside to outside of the rear tires, but I’ll be adding 11” of wheel spacers. The other one was 60” no spacers.

Make an ell post (90*) for the beacon light Mounts it to the side and down, and probably can still be seen. Probably electrical conduit will work.

Yes, that gives me an idea. The dealer was trying to talk me out of ordering it, wanted me instead to get brighter bulbs in the standard cab lights.

Well it’s here! I thought there would be a party, they mayor giving a few words - nothing.

It comes with a long list of “We owe you.” When I ordered the first tractor the dealer ordered everything needed, but switching made most things change, everything had to go up in size and they didn’t have anything in stock. JD is on backorder for all the hydraulic, 3rd function, 4th and 5th function, top and tilt and Power Beyond. The dealer let me have it now, it came with the HD loader bucket, 48” pallet forks and ballast box. When the backhoe comes in the dealer will come back for it for transport. The hydraulic snowplow, tiller, flail mower, Lane Shark and Roots Grapple should come in around two weeks from now.

I think it will with all the attachments I got (coming). You could actually spend another $100,000 in implements, attachments and accessories to fit on the tractor. Everything costs a fortune. I need a set of tire chains before they sell out in September, the rears cost nearly $650 plus, fronts are $425 plus. A piece of Rubber scraping edge for the front bucket is $325. Filled the tires with beet juice, nearly $800.
A pair of plastic fender flairs for the rear wheels is over $400.
I need lead shoot or lead of any kind for the ballast box, a second choice could be steel plates. I’ll be searching high and low next week.

Waiting for this heat and humidity to take a hike! I’m taking a break while this is going on.
