Friday we picked up the new 540 but not before we dynoed it. here are the specs
93 octane
dart 540/eagle rotating assembly

Isky racing 284/294 (238/248 @.050) .578/.608 lift (hydro roller with GM lifters) set up 4* advanced
port matched edelbrock victor jr.
38* timing
it was dynoed with a 1" carb spacer and a box stock holley 950 and their own 2 1/4" headers.
After a few pulls in the 640-50 range with lower timing we bumped it up to 38* to match the jet changes that were made earlier.
It made 675 hp at 5800 rpm and only dropped off to 640 by 6100. It also made 674.8 lbs of torque at 4800 rpm. At 3800 rpm it was making 640 lb/ft and continued to make 600+ until 5800 rpm.
We were both very happy with the numbers and were happy to see 14 lbs of vacuum at a 950 rpm idle which should be very streetable and work the vacuum brakes just fine. Yes it could have made a lot more power with a bigger cam, but my Dad wanted a very streetable setup that made good vacuum and had great manners. So far it looks like he met his goals
