one of the guys I know dropped a 454 chevy, block off at a local machine shop,
too have it cleaned and freeze plugs and cam bearings installed.
after a couple weeks (3) and not getting a call, hes getting a bit pissed at the slow service,
while hes waiting he had tried calling the number several times and either got zero response,
or it never got answered, so he drives over
(its about 25 miles from the guys home)
the place is obviously out of business, empty and up for sale!
he asked around and they closed about a week previously.. hes out a engine block.
no one knows where the previous owners are.
if your looking for a local machine shop,
in the west palm beach fla area
be damn sure you get all the details in writing
dates prices, details on what needs to be done
delivery dates and take pictures
these guys generally do decent work
