take the time to actually shop, CAREFULLY , and ASK QUESTIONS ,as theres usually a huge price and quality spread. if you ever priced engine gaskets at speed shops you know you could easily pay 3-4 times as much for gaskets as they cost ordered on line , and the cost of some specialty gaskets like copper head gaskets can easily add over $150 to the total cost difference.
BTW, When a head gasket thickness is listed its supposed to be the compressed gasket thickness
keep in mind it assumes you use the factory heads with the matched factory head bolts torqued to the factory suggested torque settings, this can be important in determining quench distance.
cheap does not always mean a good deal or a complete set
EXAMPLE ,if you look carefully you can find the exact same set of valve cover gaskets selling for $10-$34, and identical head gaskets sets that cost $30 difference in price,, but shop carefully, some places sell gasket sets dirt cheap then absolutely rape you on the cost they charge of shipping the lower cost set too you. so ASK QUESTIONS and compare total cost, and be darn sure the parts you order fit the application and parts on hand, the car you have might be for an example a 1985 corvette, but that hardly means all the parts youll use on an aftermarket block, heads, cam etc will work with the original listed gaskets
