low profile rectangle port big block intake manifold options

I'm rebuilding a 1968 corvette with a 427BB, Edelbrock performer RPM heads w/rectangle ports and Holly 4barrel 800 cfm. Here is my problem, I was going to keep the original intake manifold for the 427 corvette which sits low in the valley and allows clearance for the carb and air cleaner under the hood. But when trying to replace the water nipples I broke the neck around the nipples, basically I screwed the pooch! I replaced it with a Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap and got an L-88 hood with 2 1/2" rise from ACI to get enough clearance. Got the hood yesterday and I only have about 1/4" clearance. Is there any other aftermarket intakes that would fit my setup to get clearance or do I need to find a used original intake? Looking for ideas, Thanks.

this is the intake you want that fits rectangle port heads and gives max hood clearance

BTW heres the factory extra low profile rectangular port intake, while it provides good hood clearance its easily costing you 20 plus horse power over several similar low profile intakes , and easily 30 less than many high rise intake designs

having gone both routes a few times,on the 1970-71 chevelles, and some bbc corvettes,
and yes hood clearance makes this choice a P.I.T.A.,
I would suggest the torker II with some plenum and port clean-up work would be your better option.
I did both options on my B.I.L.'s 1974 BBC corvette with a 454 and the torker proved to run marginally better.

IF you want max performance youll need decent hood clearance to allow intake runners with a direct path from throttle body to intake valve in a strait line
