I have had some ideas and not sure how to go about making it all work right. With my new engine going into my truck (406 into my LUV). The problem is hood clearance to air cleaner. I have not seen a cowl hood made for my truck in some time. I'm thinking of how to make a fiber glass hood cowl like the z-28 type work with a steel hood and not look hokey or crack where the two different materials meet. One ideal is to cut a hole in the hood and have the cowl stay on the carb/air cleaner something like on the old trans ams. Either way I'm not a body guy and trying to figure this out to be the easiest way and not look like a hokey job. If I didn't need the clearance I would leave it alone.
