I went a bit over board with my engine swap.

Here's what I ended up doing to my 1988 corvette

388 C.I.D. H/O- stress relieved, high nickel content, 4 bolt main, race block, J & E Forged Aluminum Pistons, Stainless Steel Rings, Callies Crankshaft, Oliver Billet Connecting Rods
Compression 12:1, Custom Roller Cam, 1.6 Roller-Rockers,30 lb. Bosch Fuel Injectors,
Custom Air Flow Research Heads- race ported and polished
Accel Super-Ram Intake System-Polished, Extrude Honed, & chromed, 58 mm Throttle Body-Polished
Custom Polished aluminum Cold Air Intake by Tri-Power Automotive
Accel Headers-Ceramic Coated, Accel DFI, ASSC programmed, Computer System
High Capacity Bosch In-Tank Fuel Pump
8 qt. Capacity TPIS Oil Pan, 3 inch Custom Exhaust with Dynomax Ultra Flow Mufflers
Custom Turbo-400 Trans with shift kit and trans cooler
Custom CNC Machined Tailshaft Housing from Aircraft Aluminum
10 inch Coan Non Lockup, 2200 Stall, Torque Converter
3:73:1 Dana-44 Rear End, N.O.S. 150 H.P. Nitrous System
Be Cool Aluminum H.D. Radiator, Edelbrock Aluminum H.D. Water Pump
GT Big Brake Package with 13 inch Front, 11 inch Rear Rotors –Dimpled, Stainless steel braided brake lines,
DRM Custom Valved Bilstein Shocks, Custom Steel half shafts-balanced
Custom Racing Valve Covers (Rare)
Original Z-52 Wheels-Polished & Chrome Plated for street use

Hurst Anti-roll Device- uses the cruise control device as set/on/off. Very cool!
½” Diameter long wheel studs
Manual electric fan switch, 160 degree thermostat
Like I said in the first line of my post "I went a bit over board with my engine swap."

My thought was that you could pick up an idea or part that may be useful to you.

But it is really neat to be able to smoke your tires at a 55 mph roll
