moding your carb intake for mpfi

almost all common v8 4 barrel carb intakes have the potential to be converted over to EFI intakes with the proper modifications, that include custom fuel rails, throttle bodies and sensors, you'll obviously need to weld or epoxy in injector bungs and manufacture a matching fuel rail to place and feed the injectors and allow fuel line and fuel pressure regulator placement but the throttle body replacing the carbs a direct bolt on.
keep in mind that theres several types of intakes that have been available for decades that are either in very limited supply , as intakes suitable for conversion to fuel injection,or have rarely been available that can be converted to EFI, if for example you selected a cross ram or tunnel ram intake theres been very few intakes of those type having the better castings designed for max power converted from the original dual carb design to dual throttle body with injector bungs welded into place and fuel supply rails added.

if theres one thing that you'll be forced to learn, on this web-site,
its reading through all the links and sub-links will help a great deal...
closely followed by having the correct tools , and learning to use them also helps

Owning and having the skills to correctly use a tig welder or a MIG, welder,
\ set up to weld aluminum and a drill press with a precision vise would be helpful

BTW if your looking for intake manifold height info there some available at least for edelbrock intakes

if your willing to do some fabrication there's a great many more options available as many single and multi carb intakes that can be machined and welded to allow installation of injectors and a fuel rail, so that adding a throttle body cam basically convert the carb intake to a efi intake design.
