I thought this intake was for a max wedge but when I look under max wedge I don't find this.
Where these regular production at anytime? Can you buy them?

Its A 413 Cross Ram Intake Richard.
Don't quote me on exact time frame....
1958-62.

Think of Christine....The Movie Killer car 1958 Mopar.

You can see the Balance tube resonant crossover chamber in the photo.
They are neat crossrams.
Perfect for the Wow factor in a Vintage T-bucket or Rat Rod.

Hard to tell by the photo but I think its a 383 RB engine 1966-71-73.

The Max Wedge 426 engine is Super Rare.
It was Rare New.
The Original Melrose Missile Drag Car famous here in Illinois was 426 Max Wedge Powered.

I grew up hearing stories of the 426 Max Wedge and its street racing power & drag strip power.
The 426 Street Production Hemi was a DOG compared to the 426 Maxi Wedge Race engine.
My late bud Bill had one back in 1962-63.
Everytime I took the T/A out & strapped him in with the Racing seat belts,
Banged gears full bore at 6500-7000 Rpms he had flashbacks of Super Stock days & his old Maxi Wedge 426.
Got real excited....Tell me stories non stop all night long how it really was here in Illinois & Chicago Race scene. :)

I need one set for a 440 Mopar, it does't matter if it's aluminum or cast, I need to pay back a favor on a trade to a UK deal. A knock-off would be preferred as I have learned there is no difference except the cost.
I'm offering $100 for information leading to a sale.

There are not many China Mopar Knock off items If any I can think of Richard.
Mopar guys really despise china.

I am going to have to contact my Bud Mopar Bob.

The Mopar 906 series factory heads are among the best for 383-440 RB raised block engines.

Earlier 413 parts will bolt on I do believe.

426 Maxi Wedge is a special factory race engine & parts.

If there is China made its on Fleabay typical Richard.

Uhmmm.

The guy in Pennsylvania near you seems to have best deal going thus far.

Ready to run 413 crossram....$5,000 + cash needed

Mopar guys are like Pontiac guys.
If we want it & cash is on hand we will buy it Full Market Price.

Max Wedge used a Cross Ram style intake.

The pictured Long Ram was also available in a Short Ram version.

The Short Ram didn't have divided runners all the way to the carb but looked almost the same.

The Short Ram can be I.D.'d by the shorter intake port dividing groove visible on the top of the runners.

The Short Ram was more for racing as it made power at higher RPM.

Below is a picture of a Short Ram, with the shorter dividing grooves.

Thanks
Randy

Thanks Brian. These guys are on eBay themselves, they wouldn't make deals with a small-time guy like me if there was something workable on eBay. The one thing they don't have is a wide variety mechanic and he might not know what fits.
SOCAL sold these Cross Rams. A couple of guys that worked for Edelbrock years ago went into business themselves and together with some company in IL somewhere is where these intakes and heads come from lately. The original founder of SOCAL's Garage (his son) is the guy I need for the absolute answers but hasn't returned my calls.

It seems like all the good stuff is stashed away in PA.

I need to confirm a match between intake and manifold. I was told a graphite pencil rubbing doesn't change size if it is scanned and sent as a picture file. I can ask both parties to make the rubbings unless there is something that makes better sense?

I had to think about what you said Richard.
Yes.
Be best to hand trace over the intake ports with an Artist graphite rubbing pencil the intake ports.
Have them photo next to a 12 inch ruler stick.

They are not real High HP engines the early 413 crossrams.
Worked same as Corvette 350 TPI Tuned Port engine.
Has Kool looks as TPI and thats about it.
