My Race Car & Street Car

both look rather impressive! congrats!
why not tell us about BOTH, and post a few more pictures, as I'm sure most of the members will be very interested!

wow thats some gorgeous rides you've got there. i think more pics are in order!

Thanks for the kind words. The altered is a 125" wheel base mild steel chassis. I have been running a 565 BBC in it. This winter I am switching back to my 468 so I can run the Heritage series and some index racing. It has a JW powerglide, Mark Williams modular rear and a all aluminum body. Lots of fun. It keeps an old mans heart rate up. Keeps me busy between races making sure it is it tip top shape.

The 60 Impala is something I just bought from a friend. I have always wanted one. The car was a 348, but has a 350 with a 4 speed in it now. Just a perfect car for driving and enjoying. It needs some mechanical work, nothing but small things. Between racing next year I am going to enjoy fixing it up. Disc brakes for the front, 4:11 posi, different exhaust, some different tries and wheels. It has a period roll & pleat interior so now all I need is a large pair of fuzzy dice....

In fact the guy I purchased the 60 from found this site. Looks like a great place with lots of good information. I am looking forward to spending some time looking thru it all.

Cheers.....

You should post a couple racing videos if you have them, makes us feel
like we were part of the team!

I can pretend to help you stage and be the gofer and Grumpy can be
the crew chief! :) All you have to do is drive.

hey what size are those wheels? I am looking for a set of 15 inch wheels. OH btw welcome to the forum.

My trailer is always open. There is always a cooler full of ice tea, water, and Gatoraid. You are welcome anytime. We have a cool crew that pits together at the races. I think you would enjoy hanging out with us old duffers. We have a couple of kids that are part of the group also. I would warn you, it is a tough crowd. You need to be thick skinned, but it is always in fun.

The question regarding "what size are those rims" Are you talking about the race car or the Impala. The rears on the race car are 15x16 with 3.5 inch back spacing... The impalas are 14" Cragers, which I am going to change out.
