 I'm from Tallahasse. Own a 2003 - C-5 and love It. I like making changes that make more power. That's what the Corvette is all about-pushing everything to the edge. So, a BIG hello to all of you.

Well you should fit right in here, we love pushing everything to the edge, sometimes even the wife, with our passion ;) I'm not a Corvette owner now, but I had a 1961 Corvette around 1975. I traded a 1964 Nova and $400 to get the Vette. A few years later I sold it for $2000.

I have a T-Bucket that I originally finished in 1980, but its been over 10 years since it was driven. I hope to change that this next spring!

Welcome!

Ok....but it's been sitting for over 10 years. The one thing I'm most proud of, it is not a kit car. Every bracket was drawn first on
cardboard, then cut out of steel with nothing better than a cutting torch and ground smooth and welded on. I can't claim all the credit
thou, I had a lot help from a friend. It was actually built at his house while going to college 90 minutes away, alot of weekend hours for
two years to finish.

that's really nice, its rare to see guys take the time to put together something truly custom.
is it an automatic or manual transmission?
what is the engine combo!

Thanks! I know some do have manual trans in them, but it would be tough to get those pedals in such a tight space. You have to left foot brake now, since the steering column is between your feet.

It started out as a nearly stock 350 Chevy and TH 350 automatic and has been that way since 1980. Its looking like the new engine will be based on the Dart SHP block with a high stall TH350 with all new internals.

use of a DART block as a basis for your engine while a bit more expensive than use of the O.E.M. block is far stronger and a really good idea for long term durability, depending on what you want to build, and what your willing to put up with in rough idle, etc. Ive got several well proven combos that will allow that car to really scoot.
obviously you'll need a higher stall converter and may need a different rear gear ratio for some of the more radical combos

theres a great deal of info in these threads

the lower links not exactly a great street combo but it smokes tires easily, and makes an impressive weekend toy

Love the T-Bucket, enjoy it. I tried to download some picks of my Vette, but, for some reason it tells me file too big... Love this site, great ideas and great people.

Thanks for the compliment about the T-Bucket.....they do accelerate pretty darn good!

The file can be no larger than 256 KB. If you right click on the file and select Properties from the menu that pops up, you will see the file size listed.

I've found that if I can open the file in Paint, and then save the file again it will be smaller, hopefully it will be under 256 KB. If you are using Windows, then you can find Paint by going to Start/Programs/Accessories. Does it have a .jpg file extension or something else? Are you using MS Windows?

Let me know and I will see if I can help!

Here we go... Thanks for the help. I have added C-6 rims after pic, they look great since they are wider.... As you can see it has been lowered quite a bit. Joe.

looks nice! congrats on having, what appears to be a really nice car

Ive been thinking about adding a newer corvette to the family but finances are a bit to stretched currently for that to be a good idea

Love the color, is that a maroon??? Looks like it might have a touch of purple.

What's up with the building behind the car, it disappeared in one picture yet they were taken on the same day???

Thanks for the comments. Car is 50th anniversary red, for some reason it loks a little purple on the pic.
Rick.. The play house still there, the pic was taken from different angles. How are you doing???????
