It would most likely help your cause if you made known your LOCATION , as some of us guys probably do have a few useable spare stock but useable in good condition ,parts sitting around on a shelf,they might donate.... if your willing to come get them. but ID seriously doubt any ones going to go thru the time and expense to respond or to ship parts to any one they don,t even know,... to you....or any new member on their dime!
helping out a new guy and cleaning out the garage is one thing, I do that often enough, but no one I know is likely to spend a good deal of cash to pack up and ship heavy or bulky parts like intakes,oil pans,water pumps,oil pumps ETC. if it takes a great deal of time and money to do it,to a totally unknown request,source. unless theres either a trade of some kind or it benefits them. its fairly common to have someone donate ,lets say an intake or oil pan in exchange for YOU providing LABOR or help on THEIR CAR project?? I know I sure started most of my parts collecting and gaining skills and experience that way
I know Ive sure donated many dozens of parts even a few engines Ive pulled to help out new guys, but ..to local guys who picked the stuff up, because like most of us I may have a few parts and be willing to help but I sure can,t afford to pay to do it!
