Hello, my name is Chad Speier. I port heads and manifolds for a living. Been racing since I was 16. Live in Kansas. Have 2 yorkies and a bernese mountain dog.

Welcome.
I don't run across many Professional Cylinder head porters online or in Person.
The last I knew online is a Friend in Los Angelous California from Old Corvette Forum.
The Other is a Close Friend I know very well in person. Krazy Ed in Joliet Illinois .
He worked in A Race Head porting shop for 5-6 years. Got burnt out from years of hearing air die grinders.

welcome to the forum, I wondered how long it would take you to find your way over here!
BTW I've seen a few intakes you've worked on, and CONGRATS nice work!

Yea Grumpy I have been lurking for awhile, lol.. Thanks on the manifolds. I do things a little different than most. Had some good teachers and applied my own thoughts and theories.

I hear you 87vette. Not if it catches up with you but when. I've been doing it full time everyday for the last 10 years. From iron to aluminum. My back hurts, my ears ring, and my arms tingle. But I love every minute of it!! :)

Indycars, my flow area and porting room. I can flow at 60+ with the white bench.

Very Nice.
You keep your work area clean & tidy.
Porting is very dirty work.......aluminum chips everywhere.

Do you perform your own Valvejobs in House ?
Or do you use a Machine shop nearby ?

Hard to see exact but I think I see a Full Radius Valvejob in the works.
Or its a 5 angle valvejob done very NICE.

I do everything in house. I have a Sunnen VGS20 and getting ready to buy a Serdi 100. I don't have a CNC. I have used the same guy for 10 years for CNC line.

Here is a picture of one of my CNC 23 degree VFactor heads. Multi-angle with a radius exhaust.

You have A Huge Advantage over others.
Perform your own Valvejobs.
And check your work on a Flowbench.

The only others online that is setup similar that I know of is A few Pontiac guys Engine Builders.
On Max Pontiac Forum.
A few Are Drag Racing Legends that have been around since 1966 & 1976.
But anyhow....
Lots of thieves out there.

You Obviously know your Stuff.
And Grumpy knows Ya.
He don't Seek out Retards.
Just The Best.
I don't spend too much time on Chevy Forum like Grumpy.
Lack.the time to.

Stirs up a can of Worms...
I will take a Valvejob done on A Sunnen Head Machine like Yours before a Serdi.
I have had valvejobs done both ways for me.
The Engine performs better with a Fixed Pilot Valvejob VS Floating Pilot. valvejob.

Serdi has more Fancy Cutters I know available .
Man some of those Full Radius cuttwrs are expensive...$500 + each !

I do my own 3-angle Valvjobs occasional .
I have an ancient SIOUX Valve Wet style Valve Face & Stem Grinder Machine.
And Sioux Stone Seat Machine angular Grinder. Also have 2 different Sioux Diamonds to Face up my Stones.
Assortment of Solid .385 Top Pilots & a Few expandable Sioux Pilots.
Pretty Good Results.
Have a Jeweld Valveseat Runout Guage too.

My friend Steve in his Machine shop has the exact same Sunnen Head Machine as You.
Many Race winning Dirt track engine heads were on it.
A few local Drag Race winning heads too.

I still final lap valves in.
Old school suction cup Stick & Ultra fine Clover paste.

A Good Head Porter is worth his Weight in Gold.
$2,000-$3,000 cash paid to Him.

Problem is the this economy is BAD.
Recession still lingers .

I watched Your You Tube Video.
I started making of few of my own recent.
Its Fun !

Heat friction .....
My friend Steve uses one of those Jet Air Nozzles when cutting seats.
Your Cutting Stellite....Very Tough Alloy Steel.

I Love Racing By The Way.

And all that goes into building that Engine, Transmission, Rear Diff, Chassis, Bodywork, & Safety Gear.

Spring 2016 is here.
Stop by often when you have time to.
