Hello everyone, new member here from western Massachusetts, daily a 03 2500hd lb7 duramax and also in Jan picked up my 86 corvette, previous owner passed away and vehicle has not ran in 11 years...his daughter brought it to my shop to be inspected and ended up purchasing it from her. I promised her I would restore it and in 2 months time did just that and now runs great and overall mechanical sound and everything works as it should...attached some pics of it for you too see. Let me know what you think and thanks for having me as well.

that is certainly a corvette that looks too be in much better than average condition for its age,
than most as both the interior and engine compartment are visually in far above average condition.
its almost always a good idea to post the city and state you live in, and don,t be afraid to ask questions or post pictures, as there,s at least some chance someone reading about your problem, or question, that has skills and a desire to help might read these posts that lives near you!
you might luck out and find a helpful mentor within easy driving range willing to help you out or at least get tips on local knowledgeable shops that work on similar cars are reasonable hourly rates, and what dealerships , repair shops, or machine shops in your area, to AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Interior- new steering wheel, all trim panels, shifter boot and knob, seats and foam, carpet and undermat insulation also added sound dampening while I was there, pretty much whole interior was replaced

Under hood- lots of cleaning then radiator, compressor, dryer and orfice, valve covers, and converted prop rod to newer style and used pontoon cleaner for upper and lower intake and runners( pretty much aluminum acid cleaner)

Then just fixing anything that didnt work, cruise control, antenna, fuel pump and relays, cleaning tank out and flushing lines etc, Paint was pretty good and just had the glass top so found a painted top and repeated it myself so have two tops like I should, think that's everything but probably missing some stuff

And wheel center caps had bowties on them so painted then had c4 decals made to fit and sprayed 3 coats of clear over to build up so doesnt look like I did it.

Wow, you have done quite a bit of work to get it up to speed! Looks like you have a nice Vette now.
