welcome! look around, post and enjoy!

BTW nice clean and well thought thru TRUCK, its un-usual to see that clean of an engine compartment, theres usually hoses and crap everyplace! I can,t see how anyone in this hobby can get bye without access to a truck, as well as thier car toy, as most cars are near useless for transporting stuff!
I bought my son a 2003 chevy avalanche just so I have access to a parts carrying truck , besides he likes the crew cab.
hot rodding the truck is an option Ive never considered.

Thanks for the reply grumpy as well as all the help you have given me from chevytalk. Trucks are good to have and fun to drive. As I am sure you know they arent very aero dynamic, can be fairly heavy (mine weighs in around 4500 pounds with me in it) and usually need major suspension surgery if you want to hook up.

Thats the hole reason for my build you should see the face of the drivers I've put to shame with my truck, running high 13's in a truck against some one who dont think your some thing they should worrie about almost always gets me the hit and with a 1.8 60ft by the time they hit it i'm gone

I beat a few vettes on the street thinking they'll never loose to a truck

78C10, keep it up that truck looks sweet! How do you like the megashifter? I've bin thinking of getting one just didnt know if reaching it would feel good?

Wow, that's nice and cleanly done. Ya have the hood I always wanted.
Here's mine years ago before the rust set in. Dang it used to be shiny.... I forgot about the good old days.
It's only got 316,000 on it now. (3rd engine with about 136,000 miles and doesn't use any oil.) (I blame Mobil-1 for that)

It was...........
Livin on the coast and not having a garage is taking it's toll right now. The good thing is that it's still dependable. even with the lower part of the drivers side door flappin at 80mph.

replacement doors from salvage yards are usually both easy to find and install
True, but I really need a whole cab. Front sheet metal has replaced about 10 years ago. I even taped the fender seams and poured acid etch primer inside them and rotated them in every direction to fully coat the insides....... then did the same procedure with paint a few days later. The hood got a similar treatment because those Chevy pickup hoods always seem to rust out in the front portion from dirt and dust collecting up inside that area, and then staying damp for 6 months. (think Oregon coast)
If I had a garage, life would be much different.
(I wouldn't need a house anymore  )

Sorry about takin' over the topic, 78C10.
Like I said, nice ride........ especially the wheels. They look really clean on your truck.
(meaning ....less bling can be a good thing ;) )
