You are just about at C6 ZR1 Pricing, and it should be.
The new Z06 is the ZR1 of the C7 because it is super charged.
Until now the Z06 has been naturally aspirated.
I think it is exciting, and as a Corvette enthusiast I think GM has done a great job!
even if its way, WAY! too expensive for most of us to purchase

What I see is a 1/4 mile Race Scene taking place.
Lowest ET Time, Highest MPH Trap Speed, Lowest 60' Foot time, 1st out of gate Wins.
In Midwest its straightline race action.
Twisties don't matter. Nor do we care.

I agree 100% on that they have done a great job moving the Corvette name forward. Against my better judgement I went and looked at a 1LT Z51 figuring it was a good compromise on cost and performance. Absolutely love the car. But at near $60K with a suppliers discount, the wife put a stop to that happening this year . I could buy some investment property or a small lake vacation place for that kind of money. Think I will stick to my plan of working my way through the series. Had a C3, got a C4, start looking at C5's in a year or so then a C6. But, we will see if I stay on that track or act the next time the C7 bug bites.....

i think the price is very reasonable considering you get extreme performance for relatively little money. other cars on the performance level of the z06/z07 are typically 3-10x the price
