each car and suspension and the tires will have a different feel to the driver and characteristics he needs to get used to, your cars center of mass, spring load rates and center of mass , power to weight ratio, and brake efficiency that will change the way the car handles, but its basically a mater of knowing the cars characteristics and knowing how to compensate.
theres no debate that some cars handle a bit better or are easier to control, but generally the lighter the car, the bigger the brakes, the lower and more centrally located the center of mass, and the larger the surface contact area is with the pavement that the suspension and tires can maintain the more aggressively you can drive.
most corvettes are lower, in height and lighter in weight and have larger brakes, than comparable passenger cars in their production years but the newer cars with their improved suspensions and brakes tend to have some advantages.
if properly set up with larger brakes and tires,
with practice the c4 corvettes are very predictable cars, but the advances in the c5-c6 design, lower engine weights, higher power to weight and rear mounted transmission give them some advantages
