Pinion Bearing Help

Grumpy is there away and to remove the pinion bearing with it massing it up, and if so what tools is needed.
It only has about 1800 miles on it. Like to re-use it if I can. I think I'm going to save up for hole new rear but not sure what to get. 9" ford, GM 12 bolt, or the Dana 60 rear any help this. Going to put the 10 bolt back together for now and not race the car until I get a new rear just drive it around for now.

I have 82 Camaro with that 10 bolt rear 7.5 ring gear. Man I broke the spider gears last year so I rebuild the
rear with moser 28 spline axles and a true trac carrie. But I used the same stock GM 373 ring and pinion man I wish, I had change the ring and pinion last year. I broke few teeth of the ring gear a few days ago.

Here a pic of the ring gear that broke - this happen at 4500 rpm clutch dump the rear help up for about
20 runs at the track this year. Some people at the track told me to install a Performance Motive gear much stronger than the stock GM gear.

Thanks for the info.... I home today learning a lot. Grumpy do the 12 bolt strange engineering sales would it good for 82 camaro 327 small block my best track time 11:08 at 123 miles in hour. Like to have a rear that will hold up under street clutch dumping at 4000 to 5000 rpm the ford 9" not sure if I like to have it on a chevy. The dana 60 rear is a lot heavier the both right. What would you buy between the 3 of them.
 
Ive always had the best results from the dana 60 read differential, it may weigh an extra 40-50 pounds but its darn near bullet proof.
theres ALWAYS a WEAK LINK IN THE DRIVE TRAIN,
now youll learn a good deal reading thru these linked threads, but your most likely wondering why I don,t suggest a ford 9" or chevy 12 bolt, well, the short answer is, I've shredded, gears cracked cases or twisted axles, several times in both of those differentials in previous cars,now your not likely to have problems with street tires but a 3500rpm plus launch with slicks puts a significant shock load on any rear differential and the larger more robust components in the DANA just seem to shrug off the abuse while the smaller rears, just don,t seem to stand up tho the abuse for more than a few months at best Ive built both the 9' and chevy 12 bolts with aftermarket components, but had problems, and Ive never had ANY problems with a dana 60 that was rebuilt correctly, when you find a dana 60 in your local salvage yard youll usually pay between $100-$300 depending on condition, and its a good idea to at least carefully clean and inspect it and use new fluid before installing it, or if finances allow billet axles and new gears and bearings would be smart
(axles can be ordered with a chevy lug pattern) adding disc brakes is a great idea if its a drum brake rear, but all thats optional, as even the stock rears fairly hard to break, and yes, adding the aftermarket gears and axles and bearings ETC. WILL significantly increase durability besides its nice not having to worry about the rear differential failing, because it will be far from the weak link that a 10 bolt is, your much more likely to go thru clutches or transmissions, not the rear differential once you swap to a DANA 60
