Hello,

I found this site by following a link in one of Grumpyvette's posts on another forum. Nice place you guys have here. ;)

Here is my story.....

I have a 1973 240z with an L26 and dual SUs. In my shed is a ZZ4 350 waiting on ported 305 heads and some other stuff. As you can guess, I plan on installing the sbc into my 240z and using a 4spd if I can get one cheap....I don't use this for highway driving and I like to run out the gears. The plan is to get the 350 in and running with as little down time as possible. Once the swap is in, I have all the time in the world to upgrade this baby.

I have a ton of pics for you to paruse here if you like: http://tinypic.com/phlebmaster

Some of the pics are of my 1973 620 project that I traded strait across for the 1973 240z in May 2009. The young lady you will see is my daughter who is my mechanic and partner in this V8 swap project.

I am happy to have found the information here and will be doing some homework here......this is more like the study hall. :ugeek:

Anyway, I will be talking to you guys later....Thanks for saving this place Grumpy!!

always glad to help,
when you have specific questions please post them,
but I think you'll find most of the common questions answered, in the threads, and you can find many of the answers faster with the search feature and, following linked info.
btw the more friends and traffic the more info gets posted in the data base so tell your friends, and use the search feature and sub linked info, but if you, (OR ANYONE ON THE SITE) have more info, helpful input or pictures to add PLEASE DO SO!

Phleb – it’s “peruse”, not “paruse”; and “straight”, not “strait”! :) And I won’t even mention the punctuation omissions. Had this been HybridZ, your post would have been relegated to the Toolshed! :)

OK, just kidding... welcome!

It is encouraging to see another HybridZ regular on here! HybridZ has grown to be too big, too rife with teenage dreamers, and too far off-message from V8 swaps.

IM a retired mechanical engineer, I never could type or spell all that well, even in college and had a secretary,at work I shared with several other engineers clean up most of my notes, at times, so I'm rather lenient on spelling errors and punctuation, as long as the points clearly made.
have fun gentlemen, this is your site as much as mine, lets concentrate on building better cars and engines and solving problems.
Or as one of my mentors used to say
"Im not all that concerned with LOOKS, as long as you can show your tail lights to the competition, and not break parts"
