Portable Welding Rig AC/DC Stick TIG Generator Set

How many hours on each unit are you expecting to find? Threshold between fair and too high? Is it close to figure 100,000 hrs. per year used?
There are many large companies that auction off their surplus or equipment for newer, higher efficiency, tax write-offs or raise money. Around here there are several large auction companies - if I see anything I'll send the info to you. A lot of guys mount their equipment on a flat bed trucks. What's your take on that if you found the correct equipment but a truck's included?

Did you switch jobs? I thought you are a full fledged Mr. Goodwrench?

100,000 hrs is a lot.
Old units have to research carefull on. Parts can be difficult to come by.
Always will Be Better than Mr Goodrich.
He don't Drag Race or Go Dirt Track Racing.
He don't know performance machine work. How to use a South Bend Lathe, Use a Bridgeport Verticle Mill.
He can't fabricate one off Race parts like I can.
He can't troubleshoot helping others on Forums from his mind alone. No Google search.
He can't weld either like I can.

My mindset is like Grumpy's.

Sorry Brian, I didn't mean to use "Mr. Goodwrench" in any derogatory way. Actually I use Mr. GW when referring to a professional mechanic and not a Shade tree, backyard, driveway or grease monkey which infers the opposite.

It's bad enough tracking hundreds of welding configurations, I'm just trying to understand "Use Vs. Time" for evaluation purposes. There was a construction contractors auction last month with over 600 units and I was told 40 of them were the same you listed, just packaged differently. Prices ranged from $550 to $3050. Generators (prices) were all over the board with diesel dominating the 10 top models. I could likely find exactly what you want if I can get a list that has any play known up front. If I have text message short-hand to work with, than things can get frustrating for the searchers. Substitutions must me known as well as hrs. used.

Found a Miller Bobcat plus with Kohler V twin CH18 18 Hp engine. 225 amp. 8kv Gen set.
Drive to get it.
Has welding leads. Trailer too.
I want it. Priced Right..
Lincoln Ranger Super 8 with Onan 16 HP P216 I also found has sat. Don't run. Seller asking too much $$$.
