On a engine I just purchased, the mechcanical fuel pump on it only has 2 fuel lines, 1 in and 1 out, naturally. But the fuel pump on my old engine had a 3rd 1/4 " line, I am assuming is a pressure relief line back to the tank. Does the 2 line pump have an internal relief? Thanks!
yes, in many cases , a mechanical fuel pump will have a pressure regulator,
but not all.(and in many cases its rather inconsistent and less that accurate)
youll be much better off using a fuel pressure regulator and return line set -up.
