Has anyone ever tried one of these?
$30. is way too much for this piece of plastic. I can make my own.
I thought about using a small plastic funnel, but I would not want it to catch on fire
and have melted plastic in my carburetor. But I found these ammo reloading funnels:


All you gun lovers should have a good idea for a funnel to use to do this.

Q-jets are different .
The Air Cleaner base design along with filter straighten out air flow in.

How does the Airflo work?

The incoming air on a round air cleaner is drawn in through the outer diameter of the air cleaner by engine vacuum. As this air rushes towards the center of the air cleaner it collides with itself creating turbulence. This turbulence slows down the entry of the incoming air into the carburetor just enough to affect the power output of the engine. The AIRFLO simply provides a smooth transition from the perimeter of the air cleaner down into the carburetor venturis. By eliminating the turbulence, it actually helps get more air into the engine. More air draws in more fuel from the carburetor and more air and fuel means more horsepower.
Dyno shows a 7-10 horsepower gain!

Does it actually work? I can't say without a dyno. But I think it's worth a little experimenting.

Grumpy, I think that funnel is a little big - it holds 2 cups. I was thinking more like 1 cup or less.

Moroso air cleaner lids basically have this "funnel" built into them.

So there might be an advantage using the funnel under other style lids.

yes your probably correct (in its original config) but I was kind of thinking modify to fit the available internal clearances

I have to look on my '63 GP in the morning Mike.
The Vintage used Blue anodized Moroso aircleaner.
I think Grumpy has the 16.00" OD Moroso Air cleaner in 1 photo.
Made for a Holley Dominator.
They Look Very Kool on dedicated Drag cars at the Dragstrip.
