They are usefull for EFI Tuners Grumpy.
At the last job in the Chicago race shop it read lower than others nearby.
Caused wars because the customer was down 50-75 HP From the other guys Dyno.
They Fight on Facebook all the shops and Street Racers.
Real Bad.

Dragstrip numbers still best.

yeah the funny thing is that many times Ive seen cars I tuned with LOWER dyno numbers pull a car length or more in the lights at the end of the track, on very similar cars that held dyno slips showing more power, its not always so much about power as how effectively you can apply that power to the pavement, drivers skills and car weight.

Its an entire different world EFI Tuning .
What we we take for granted with a Carb and they do perform well yet an EFI Tuner maps out onto a laptop screen.
A good EFI tuner is hard to find.
A must for modern Twin Turbo power for those that can afford.

Engine building as we know it has become a lost art.
Crate engines.
Sometimes pro built engines.
Alot is left off the table.
Possible Torque & HP.
DIESEL Side we still rebuild in house.

I know how this going to pan out as well as You do Grumpy.
On DC present.
Give the Group what they want.
Big Chassis Dyno Flash Numbers.

They will read your links again.
Just not now.

I have my own projects to work on.
My little website too. I want to tell a Picture story my way.

No desire to go back to DC.
You and Junk let me know when its time.

There should be 4 straps in the Rear Grumpy.
The Main 2 Rear Straps Form a Giant X.
Other 2 in the rear run in the same plane as the car. Straight back.
The Front straps must be secured to the Lower control arms.
4 straps desired.
Minium 2 straps up front.
Too tight and the straps cause the car to hop on the Dyno rollers.
Too loose and the car will get away .

DING DONG STUPID IN THE VIDEOS.

Many are leaving straps loose intentionally .
Gives higher HP Readings.

BS You know too.
Chassis dyno just an EFI Tuning tool.
Been abused.
And will on DC TOO.

Just have to watch Grumpy.
Still haven't gone back to look.
Just hanging here.
Going to be busy the next week at night.
Check in when I can.

Is it me, or is the concrete floor in Autowiz's shop only 3" thick?
If so, then how the hell is that 2 post lift safe?

I know For Sure Grumpy is Real.
Birdman from Florida also.

I don,t know why anyone is really concerned with what particular car or car brand, can or can not beat the hellcats. (ON THE STREET OR TRACK)
( the current off the dealer show room floor, sticker rated , hp king)
WE ALL RACE OUR CAR'S, and GET IT TO RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AFFORD TO!
or for that matter any other car,in street racing, or at the local tracks,
the fact is that street racing is and always has been very dangerous, and illegal.
and Id also point out that building real race cars, is a process limited by rules.
as SMOKEY YUNIC STATED
rulebooks.jpg

" you don,t race cars you race RULE BOOKS"
and are limited buy CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCES

Anyone would have to be rather un-informed and perhaps blinded by brand loyalty, if they even consider,
any single brand is going to be dominant on the race tracks, once skilled mechanics and their ability to modify ,
the cars and engines become a factor in what the cars on the track are built like.
given a very healthy bank balance ,and a couple skilled and experienced mechanic's ,in a well equipped shop,
Ford,Pontiac,Buick,Chevy, Caddy,TOYOTA,ETC.
can all field a car ,able to run low 10 second 1/4 mile times or faster.
its simply physics
get the suspension, and drive train, and tires, correct, and matched to the correct power to weight ratio,
and your car can produce very impressive performance , regardless of fender badges used.

while only one of many people Ive found rather helpful, reading some of SMOKEY YUNICKS books and biography's is helpful.

Don't Forget Autowiz Told me A Pontiac V8 Is Junk while I was on Digital Corvette Forum.
And I should Go LSX Like Him.
Why Would I want loose like Him Street Racing Hellcats ?
Fluck That Crap.

15,000 Hellcats waiting for the Entire Corvette World.
Your leader is a Guy in Florida with A chassis dyno set in 2inches of Concrete Grumpy.

I,m not about to be EXCLUSIVELY promoting any one brand, person or supplier, ..corvettes ,hellcats or anything else for that mater, simply because Ive worked on plenty of G.M. and MOPAR and a few Ford products, and they can ALL be modified to run well.
All of us try to do the best we can with what we can afford to work on,if you have enough cash you can make most cars run considerably faster than stock.
theres some darn skilled and experienced engine builders, and car builders, working with or in almost every brand.
I think you have to ask yourself what you would rather own and drive, and if I had a choice between a new corvette and a new hellcat , even if the hellcats marginally faster and the corvettes a bit more expensive I don,t think is a difficult choice to make, in my shop it would be a corvette, now given the fact I don,t have the cash, on hand to buy either new car,(vette or hellcat) SO, I'm going to continue to collect parts to do a big block chevy c4 vette engine swap

yeah the dyno install looks like the concrete could be thicker but Id bet the floor was poured long before a dyno installation was planed,
and they poured a re-inforced concrete form around the dyno components when they were installed making the floor thickness far less important, during the install

I,ve seen more impressive installations but its still an option that potentially benefits the areas gear heads that did not have the option, before and as the dyno operators gain experience the ability to help tune is bound to improve.
or put a different way, If I had the cash I would install a dyno in my shop. it might not be identical to that but I applaud any shop that goes to the effort to install a dyno!
building a FAST CAR is mostly a reflection of the depth of your checking account balance, and either your mechanical skills and/or knowing who you can hire to do modifications to your car!

Not all are racers. An old neighbor friend bought one in the summer. He thought he would make a big profit, he never raced it, but he'll be lucky to break even. I play cards with another guy, a Honda dealer in NJ and has his for sale with 200 miles. 3 area Dealers have one each all for sale. I can get one for $5000 under list.
If this is happening here guaranteed it's elsewhere too!

Oh, how could I forget. I just settled an assets distribution case with the husband trying to hide his Hellcat. He parted it out with just 1140 miles (never raced) he bought it with over 900 miles and claimed bankruptcy. Nothing illegal about that.

These cars are all over for sale. Everybody speculating to make a quick buck. Look at the Manhiem Auto Auction this week there are 273 on the block across the country. Dealers are buying other dealers allocations and putting them up for auction gambling this week someone wants one and is willing to pay. And there are thousands in dealer inventory no customer orders attached either on the ground or coming in. The reason I know so much is I know a sales manager at a dealership and he filled me in why he's sitting on 2 right now.
These cars won't hold their premiums long and just like all the rest will be available at discounts everywhere. If you notice. The novelty and premium pricing falls off when super cars share the look of regular production models like the Z06, ZL1, the COPO Camaro, Shelby Super Snakes, but when a super car stands alone like the Ford GT and the Vipers they appreciate or at the very least hold their value.

The nearly constant and on-going lack of adequate funding, available to the middle class, families, that, for the most part did a great deal too built America being available, is extremely depressing and its only going to get worse
(BY DESIGN) if hilda gets elected.
most people are not aware of the constant subtle increases in taxes and expensive and job killing regulations that government imposes so they don,t realize that manufacturers of goods are forced to increase costs to compensate thus your cost of living increases and your employer tries hard to keep wages low.
this happens over nearly unlimited business ventures so it adds to everyones expenses
