yes the tools expensive and you probably won't use it regularly,
but if you've ever had to partially remove the trucks interior to get the bolts locking nuts out,
from under the seats and carpet,

you may see it as a BARGAIN

Thanks. What a fantastic tool for old rusted bolts and assemblies.
So it may be obvious when one would put this tool into service. But do you first use penetrating oils and try to remove the nut first with your wrench or only after your first unsuccessful try.
Most videos I’ve seen have folks using the oils with an impact wrench, but never seen this tool used.

+ loc-tites a chemically bonded ,thermally weakened adhesive use of penetrating oils, is all but useless ,
if those bolt threads have been coated with loc-tite adhesive ,applied liberally months or years prior
yeah, the bolt heating tools very useful, and can be used on places like exhaust manifold and accessory and exhaust system bolts and stuck spark plugs, where typically you DO USE penetrating oil,
ESPECIALLY if you forgot to use ANTI SEIZE on the bolt or spark plug threads,
and use anti seize on brake calipers
there are several places you use anti-seize to prevent threads rusting and binding ,
that ideally require safety lock wire to prevent bolts unintentionally loosening
brake caliper bolts, and header bolts and oil pumps cover and in some cases pick-up bolt
brackets come to mind

read the related links, each has some related info
