Hi Grump -
Per your invitation I've signed up on your website. I really appreciate your willingness to share your expertise and experience. I'm a Florida native transplanted to the Eastern Shore of Virginia where the car enthusiasts' community seems to be very low key and nearly invisible (pretty isolated here as well, an hour's drive to the nearest machine shop). I have one buddy that I can swap help with but he's into British sports cars so I indulge in the Chevy thing pretty much on my own.

I first contacted you by pm through another site (I'm amazed at how many I've found your posts on) and will post my questions in the technical section per your suggestion. They are in regard to the tired '73 Corvette I am working on rehab-ing. My automotive experience is primarily maintenance and repair on my own stuff (due to a strong dislike for getting screwed by the professional industry), with some light parts upgrading here and there, but will be tackling some big projects soon. Your advice and recommendations will be most welcome in that process.

Thanks for the invitation, I'll try my best to not abuse the privelege!

One other thing-----they say 'misery loves company'-----want you to know that you are not alone in your 'domestic status', as is demonstrated by my wife's choice of front door mat (I'm sure you can guess who is who!)
