They are kinda neat.
Not Race Car Maniac Fast as we desire & outrun An Enemy Drone Plane by 150. feet per second but safe for the wife.

THINKING OF Ricks 200R4.
Post later.

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

I haven't forgot about you Dorian.
Took pics of the 100 amp TT Daul Cooling fan circuit breaker I picked up recent.
Post pics tonight after work & Make sure its to your liking.
Been busy.
Working 22 hours straight to build the 48 chevy rear left me like a zombie from lack of sleep.
Like working like that though.
When younger I would put a race car or hotrod together in 48 hours straight.
Work non stop till done & turn key.

NSA messing with Photobucket I suspect.
Had an awefull time posting 48 Chevy Rear pics.
Bam Bam trying to learn race secrets... . he is too dumb though to begin with ;) .

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

No Wuckers - I was horrendously busy as well.

I just got back form Paris last night. I went to the Paris Air Show and did my gig as the Merchant of Death. Always fun.

Brian, I'm sure you'll be ready and I HIGHLY appreciate you doing this!!!!!! THANKS!!!!! Only concern I have is mailing; I think a courier (FedEx, DHL, UPS) would be a good idea. I'll be off to Summer camp soon (Bavarian Mountains), once again teaching kids to shoot rifles 'n' bows 'n' arrows. I need to get the car ready for that 800 mile trek up and then back again.

I found another failure in my ignition - but another post on that later. ;-)

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

And the French cops get Sigs standard issue?!?!?!

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

What's coming....
An MSD buzz box would be my last choice Dorian.
Likely China inside.
Good old days I could say MSD was 100% reliable.
Vertex Magneto.
Or Mallory Highfire.

About 8 years a guy with a 350K stunt plane showed up at the local airport.
Showed off a single MSD 6AL buzz box.No backup.
Took off the Bendix Magnetos.
Said it was 100 % reliable.
I laughed at him.
He got mad at me .
Never saw him again.

Who knows ?
MSD

I lost all confidence in my distributor. I ordered a new one. Welded locked out. It's amazing the amount of slop that was in my old dizzy. The way it was rusted inside was also less than inspiring. I mean there was a LOT of play. The new distributor, much tighter.

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

Thanks! Man you are up late!!!!

I got my new dizzy yesterday in the mail. I couldn't resist stabbing it in there that same evening.

I hope this fixes my sudden ignition failure issues. Hmm...

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

Got PM Dorian.
Will ship today.
Get you ready for the youth camping trip.
Supervised by Dorian & all Belgum youths are safe under his watch.
All scumbags with severe mental issues looking to harm kids wil be terminated.

MSD Pro Billet distributor is Good Dorian.
They also have excellent AMPCO 45 Bronze gears.
Steel Melonized gears also excellent from them.
Steel driven gear for flat tappet hydraulic or solid lifter cams.
Used MSD Pro Billet distributor in my 70 TA in the past.
Steel Melonized drive gear survived @100psi oil pressure hot @4000 Rpm's.(130psi cold @2600 rpm's).
10K miles and gear still like new. No wear.
Its the Buzz boxed that fizzle out unexpected from MSD that will leave stranded eventual.
Worst time always.

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

That's awesome! Good, good, good! The breaker and relay look the part. I can tell you that for the moment I am reluctant to drive the TT as I don't trust AT ALL the current set up.

The MSD distributor looks like a VERY nice piece - bronze gear included. I was impressed when I handled it. It makes my old Billetproof distributor look quite anemic.

Yes, if I wind up stranded again... then I will have learned the hard way that it was the buzz box. I sure hope it won't be that. I have a spare box... I'll bring it with me on my way to Germany.

I tell you what - I do love my job in Germany. Beautiful German mountains. Teaching kids to shoot - life is grand ;-)

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

Think I will cut grass again this morning.
1 acre left.
Football field or Soceer field big.

Plan chicken coop.
Base done.
16 inches off of ground. 2500 #s of hand mixed & poured concrete.
Built it to stand a Nuke bomb set off next to it.
Frame it this weekend.
All wood lumber material.

Keep them safe Dorian.
The Kids.
Morons here in the USA. also.
Head is President.
Grumpy knows likewise.

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

i went to mow my 5 acres today and the kobota tractor got a flat front tire about as far from my shop as I can get on my property, so I had to lug the tools and an air tank out to the tractor or jack it up and take the flat tire back to the shop to repair, I took the portable air tank out to the tractor and tried to get enough air in the tire to drive it back to the shop, but that failed to work out so I just jacked the tractor front axle up and rolled the wheel back to the shop.
ordinarily that type of repair is no big deal but its at least 98F today where Im at! according to the shop temp gauge on the wall.
old over weight guys don,t really like transporting floor jacks, or rolling tires several hundred yards in this heat, and spending 30 minutes breaking down and repairing a tire then rolling out to a tractor and dragging the jack and a jack stand and a 1/2 sheet of 3/4" plywood and wrenches several hundred yards each way was less than fun, and yeah, I know, your thinking , the obvious answer would be to use my car but the wife was out with that at the time!
well it turned out I needed to pull the tire off, clean the rim and paint the contact area on the rim, and tire with bead sealant, tires on tractors seem prone to this because I drive them in sand a good deal. BTW if you want to use a floor jack or a jack stand on the lawn you really need a 1/2 sheet of 3/4" PLYWOOD under the jack or jack stand as either will be really unsafe on bare ground, and yeah, dragging a 1/2 sheet of 3/4" plywood out to the tractors just adding to the P.I.T.A. factor

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

I call it being tortured Grumpy.
Most Obtuse situations a car guy gearhead can get themselves into.
By chance or by bad luck.
Both follow me likewise.
Only have 2 acres to mow grass.
Other 3 is empty cornfield.
Wife claimed the field all hers.
Local farmers upset. She took $$$$$ from them.
Looking to buy a tractor too Grumpy.
Budget fixer upper.
Have my eye on a 1943 International Harvestor IH. 4 Cyl. Gas engine.
All there. Sat for a long time. Asking price $1k.
Maybe purchase. $750-500 dollars.
Big old 2wd tractor. Sits high. Looks powerfull if I make her Live again.

Love my 1994 K1500 4x4!Suburban & daul axle car trailer.
Can't do much eithout either.

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

Check your PM Dorian .
UPS wants a small fortune to ship A 1.7 # package to Belgium.
Paying for the Jet "A" fuel in the 747 Cargo jet.
Didn't ship.
Figured too expensive.

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

Yeah. I know. It's a drag. That's another of the challenges working here. I usually use FedEx... But that's through Summitracing and likely they get special rates due to the volume.

I'm anticipating with the Karmann Ghia (oops, did I say Karmann Ghha???? ) this will be much less of an issue as there's quite an after market here.

Re: Right, I think my twin electric fans aren't running righ

PM sent.
Will ship Monday after work Dorian.
