how many guys prefer the CHROME STEEL VALVE COVERS

vs the CAST ALUMINUM???

cast covers are more rigid and less likely to leak but they are harder to keep clean and cost a good deal more and either style valve cover design works just fine if you use the correct gaskets and don,t over tighten the bolts holding them

now for many years I only used these valve covers,
but the price has gone up to the point, that spending a few less dollars on chrome valve covers seems more logical to me lately, and i like the ease of cleaning the chrome valve covers.
yes I really like the cast M/T more but does it really matter, just based on looks alone what looks better

I don't have to worry so much about keeping them clean, since my car is not a daily driver. The two piece covers are
nice and pricey. Considering something with a reasonable price, I think this would be my choice for nice looking and functional.
