Crane used to be very well known for designing cams that carefully controlled the lifter bounce and lifter acceleration characteristics,
but I don't think they have been in business for years now.
ISKY and CROWER both have the required knowledge and test equipment access.
I doubt its comp cams, their designs tend to be designed on the ragged edge of valve train control , as they seem to be obsessed with bragging rights /peak power at the expense of durability from what Ive seen, over the decades.
obviously engineers and engineering staff and computer test equipment , dedicated test equipment like the spintron, etc,
have advanced , engineers have learned and move from company to company.
